TGC Website Refresh
The Grad Co. (TGC) was looking to modernize its digital presence, with an emphasis on elevating the mobile experience in order to drive more sales. TGC was also facing challenges as its blue color palette created visual tension when paired with school colors on the site (i.e. my school colors are orange, so why am I seeing blue throughout my school store page?). As a result, we shifted the brand’s core color palette to a warm dark grey and white and proposed a new approach to photography. This refresh not only presents a more modern aesthetic, but also allows the brand to flex to any school color palette for a more personalized user experience.

My Role
Co-Lead User Interface Designer dedicated to applying the updated look and feel and enhancing the design of more than 40 dotCMS components and each of their variations across three breakpoints. These components were used to design pages on both the marketing and e-commerce platforms. I delivered the style guide for the updated components and worked directly with development to ensure they were implemented properly. I also contributed to the visual design of high-traffic pages including the school store, school affiliation, and custom product builders.
The Goal
To streamline and refresh TGC’s visual brand identity and elevate its digital presence with an emphasis on the mobile experience.
